Baker, who joined the club from Torquay this year, was reported for intentionally striking Cats player Daniel Hammond during the Bombers’ 97-point victory.
Two umpires made the booking and have sent Baker straight to tribunal.
He is set to appear on Tuesday night.
If found guilty of the strike, Baker will be outed for at least part of the side’s crucial run home to finals.
After a poor start to the season, Buninyong has strung together eight-straight wins and climbed into the top four following the weekend’s thrashing of Newlyn.
The Bombers occupy fourth position on the Central Highlands Football League ladder on percentage from Gordon and Bungaree.
Buninyong has a tough run home that includes fixtures against Daylesford and then the Eagles and Demons.
Baker has played just four senior games for Buninyong this year, kicking four goals.
Just last year while playing for Torquay, he was outed for three matches for a sling tackle that left an opponent badly injured.
Baker joined Buninyong this year with brother Isaac, who has kicked 19 goals from 10 senior matches.
