The Vikings and Ballarat will play the fixture at a later date, but in the meantime the Sebastopol boys have been overtaken at the summit.
Forest Rangers beat Daylesford on Sunday to climb to the top and lead Ballarat North United – which crushed Bacchus Marsh at the weekend – on goal difference.
Two goals from Christopher Lee and another from William Koerner helped Forest claim the 3-1 success and move narrowly clear of North United.
Jeremy Beggs netted a hat-trick in North’s 6-2 win, with other goals coming from Anthony Antonetti, Talan Flockhart and Josh Huggett.
North coach Tim Beggs was pleased with the performance from what was an undermanned line-up due to injuries.
“Our depth is really good this year, so that's really helped us,” he said.
“I thought we were hitting our top (form) before the wet weather came in. Because it's been such a dry year it's taken us a couple of weeks to get used to, but on the weekend I thought we got behind the ball and made sure of our passes. I think we're getting used to that wet weather now, that'll hold us in good stead because it looks like it's going to be wet for the rest of the season.”
Other games saw Warrnambool Rangers easily account for Creswick and Victoria Park and Buninyong draw.
In the division one women’s competition, Ballarat North United produced an 18-0 thrashing of Bacchus Marsh.
Jessica Dart found the net on seven occasions, with Lily McLean (four), Hannah Kozaris (three) and Leah Cushion (two) the other multiple goal-scorers.
Elsewhere, Warrnambool defeated Victoria Park, while Forest and Ballarat drew.
