Diana Allie, who added her voice to a long list of Ballarat residents who were fed up with car fires last week, said Shepparton police officers had contacted her to say her car was found on Monday.
“If I saw a photo of the car it would break me,” she said.
“I scrimped and saved for that car, you should have seen my face the day I bought it.”
Shepparton-based police investigators said it was unclear how the car ended up in the Goulburn Valley city after it was stolen from Ms Allie’s Wendouree house while she slept on June 5.
An investigation is ongoing.
