Jordan and the Lions have reached agreement allowing him to take up an option to stay at the helm in 2018.
Jordan said the early reappointment would allow a much better preparation than he had when appointed at the end of October last year.
He said the Lions had been on the back foot from the outset with recruiting and player retention.
