The package includes rebuilding 7.7 kilometres of the highway between Skipton and Glenthompson.
Sections of the Pyrenees Highway and the Bacchus Marsh-Gisborne Road will also be repaired.
Western Victoria MP Jaala Pulford said the investment will improve the safety and reliability of roads that connect residents, visitors and primary producers.
“We know how important local roads are to country communities, that’s why we’ve doubled Victoria’s spending on road maintenance since coming to office,” he said.
“Regional Victorians deserve a safe and smooth road network so over the next 12 months VicRoads will be doing more pavement work than it has done in decades.”
Daylesford Road-Malmsbury Road at Malmsbury will also have repair work completed.
Works will start between October 2017 and April 2018, when dryer weather allows new road surfaces to cure.
VicRoads will continue to monitor the roads for hazards, undertake short term safety repairs and install signage to warn road users of potential changes in conditions, until significant repairs are complete.
The temporary reduced speed limits currently in place will be removed once this is done.
