Forty students from 16 countries made up the tour, part of the global Lions Club student exchange program.
For three weeks they stayed with families around the country before coming together for a week-long Victorian camp which included the Ballarat day trip.
Buninyong/Mt Helens Lions Club cooked them a barbecue dinner before they travelled back to Queenscliff.
“The program has been running since the 1970s with a philosophy to give young people a chance to travel, stay with families and learn about the real Australia. The exchanges run around the world and these students chose to visit Australia,” said organiser Adrian Miles.
