Planning permits were approved for the saleyards at Miners Rest in October, 2015.
Developer Regional Infrastructure has increased the vegetation buffer and initial water run-off area.
Chief executive Gary Edwards said it was a standard step in the development process.
“Before you build it you give the final detailed drawing of what you are going to have,” he said.
The first flush area has been increased from one megalitre to 3.5 megalitres.
A first flush takes in the initial run-off of water, which can have contamination, during rain events.
Environmental Protection Authority Victoria’s Tim Faragher said the authority had been provided with a summary of all proposed changes.
“EPA is reviewing these changes to assess how they could affect EPA’s previous decision and works approval conditions and requirements to ensure any works will comply with relevant state environmental policy,” he said.
