Excitement is building at Ballarat Grammar as its girls’ football team prepares to take to the MCG for the Herald Sun Shield grand final against Melbourne Girls Grammar. The main focus for Grammar has been on looking to adapt to the size of the MCG. Coach Matt Hanlon said time spent on Alfredton Oval was beneficial, while he felt his group would handle the pressure of the occasion.

“It’s our fourth division one grand final so we’re used to the pressure that comes with it, but obviously the MCG is such an amazing opportunity,” Hanlon said. “I’ve been keeping them focused on the method rather than the venue.”
