He was injured in the opening half against Richmond in Ballarat on Sunday.
Roosters coach Marc Greig said there were concerns there might be a fracture.
“We’re keeping our fingers crossed that’s not the case,” he said.
North Ballarat finished the game with several players carrying injuries suffered in the game.
Oliver Tate aggravated an elbow late in the match, Nick Hausler was nursing a groin strain and Nick Weightman hurt his left ankle in the third quarter.
Ben Lusby also had the wind knocked out of him when laying a tackle late in the second term.
He took sometime to get back on his feet and had to helped from the ground.
Lusby recovered during the half-time break and was able to play out the game.
Greig said the injuries took the edge off the Roosters’ game late in the day.
