Woman airlifted after crash at Clarendon

A WOMAN was airlifted to hospital after a serious two-car accident in Clarendon last night.

The woman, 30, was trapped in her car for about 90 minutes after the nasty head on collision on Blue Bridge Road about 9.30pm last night.

CFA rescue teams from Ballarat Fire Brigade worked to free her from the vehicle, where she was eventually freed and loaded into the ambulance helicopter about 11pm.

She was flown to The Alfred hospital with back, chest, pelvic and leg injuries and was in a serious but stable condition.

The exact cause of the crash is still being investigated.
