The Creators Market featured handcrafted and homemade items from sellers in Ballarat and further afield.
It was the second time the market has opened in the City, with Ballarat now set to host it on a quarterly basis.
The market also travels to the Bellarine region, Bendigo and Melbourne every month.
Event manager Megan Luscombe said patrons had flocked into the market after a slow start three months ago.
“Ballarat is a community town and everyone here is very wise about where they put their dollar,” she said.
“Last time it was a little bit quiet but there are so many people here today.
“The difference is now people expect it, they know what it is and have heard about it before.”
Creators Market does not reserve places for regular stalls, instead opting for a ‘first in best dressed’ approach.
This means each month sees different stalls, with different items on sale for patrons.
Ms Luscombe said they wanted to give unknown creators a chance.
“We want new creators with new talents every week,” she said.
