He will be the only Rebel at the testing session.
Now South Australian-based former Rebel Dom Barry and VFL-listed Nick Hind are also going to state combines.
It has been a meteoric rise for Hind
He has gone from playing with Clunes in the Central Highlands Football League in 2015 to East Point in the Ballarat league in 2016 and Essendon in the VFL, which he joined last year.
Barry, 23, moved from the Northern Territory to Ballarat as a student, attending St Patrick’s College and playing for the Rebels.
He on-drafted by GWS Giants to Melbourne in 2012 and played five AFL games 2014 before quitting to return to the NT.
Barry won a NEAFL premiership with NT Thunder in 2015.
He relocated to Adelaide last year to start a teaching degree and play for SANFL club Glenelg to try to revive his AFL career.
