The 71-point thrashing of Gordon means the Bombers will take on minor premiers Beaufort in a qualifying final next weekend, while the Eagles will battle Bungaree in a knockout encounter.
Gordon’s losing margin on Saturday meant Waubra - which had the bye – jumped from sixth to fifth on percentage.
The Roos will take on Daylesford in an elimination final after the Bulldogs narrowly hung on to eighth spot despite losing to Dunnstown on Saturday. The Towners needed to win the game by about 80 points to overtake Daylesford, but could only manage a 48-point success.
In the end, Dunnstown fell short of eighth position by less than six per cent.
Next weekend's other qualifying final will be battled between Hepburn and Springbank after both teams had victories in round 17.
The Burras ended the year in second spot with a 43-point triumph over Learmonth, while the Tigers beat Creswick by 81 points.
In other news, Waubra's Tim Boyle has claimed the league goal-kicking award with 53 majors. He finished three clear of Springbank's Tom Eltringham.
