Veteran Dale Morris and the speedy Jason Johannisen are chances to return for the Western Bulldogs against Port Adelaide in Ballarat on Saturday.

Coach Luke Beveridge said Morris might be available, while Johannisen was a “maybe”.

He also threw Chris Honeychurch into the mix, saying he had recovered from illness.

Morris has been out with with a broken arm.

Johannisen has missed two weeks with a hamstring injury.

Beveridge has ruled out any possibility of a surprise return by premiership ruckman Tom Boyd, with him likely to play VFL to mark his return after taking a break to deal with depression.

He said Boyd had been in the full-time program a few weeks, but had missed a lot of football.

The first home and away match for premiership points in Ballarat start at 1.45pm.

The Bulldogs and Power arrive in Ballarat on Friday in readiness for the game at Mars Stadium.
