Just when you thought we might be starting to escape the depths of winter for another year, we are set for an icy blast.
Saturday’s first ever AFL game to be played in Ballarat will be held in typical Ballarat fashion – cold and wet.
A forecast top of just nine degrees is forecast for Saturday as thousands of people descend upon Ballarat for the Western Bulldogs v Port Adelaide showdown.
The week leading up to the big day won’t be much better either.
Up to 20mm of rain could fall tomorrow, with rain also forecast every day after Monday.
So if you’re heading along to Mars Stadium on Saturday make sure you pack your scarves and beanies.
And if you’re reading this from out of town and preparing to come to Ballarat for the footy – you’ve been warned.
