Vikings sit two points clear on top of the ladder ahead of its clash with Altona North meaning an undefeated end to the season would hand it the championship.
However, second and third-placed teams Point Cook and Bell Park lock horns this week. If they play a draw or Bell Park win, Vikings would move four points clear on top, placing one hand on the title.
But Smith said that was “irrelevant” to his group.
“I think that game’s completely irrelevant to us. The only game that is relevant to us is when we go on the pitch at Altona North on Saturday. If we take care of our own business, then the other teams are completely irrelevant around us,” Smith said.
“I’m confident in every game. Every team will try and go with us for as long as they can, but the question is how long do they have in them.”
