But the four points will not come easy.
The Lions have only won one match this season as well, sitting just three per cent above it on the ladder.
But Coburg will be itching to bounce back from a brutal 160-point belting at the hands of Port Melbourne last week.
Coach Marc Greig said it was a very winnable game, but it would have to make sure it starts well and gets the game on its terms.
“The reality is we should win the game,” Greig said.
“We’ve got to play our footy...it doesn’t just happen.”
Greig said a key element to returning home with victory was unlocking its young players’ natural ability.
It is something the coaching group has been looking to do all season, encourage its youth to take the game on, but it has not always been on display.
Greig said inconsistency was to be expected, but he did not want his youngsters to play like “robots”.
“We’ve got some structures...but most of the time we’re still trying to let the boys play footy, play their natural game, take the game on and show some flair.
“We don’t want them to be robots, we want them to be able to play natural footy.”
