Bungaree was flat-footed and awkward in the first half, but gathered its resolve in the final two terms to win the ball and finally convert. The Demons cut the 35-point half time deficit to 24 points at the last change.
A super three-goal effort from Luke Mirtschin in the last quarter was rousing, but too late for the Bungaree boys.
