The Tigers, which finished the season in third, are set to face second-placed Learmonth in next weekend’s battle for premiership glory.
It was a shock loss for Dunnstown, which had won all 16 games throughout the home and away season along with its qualifying final against Beaufort.
In their previous match against Springbank in May, the Towners came away as seven-goal victors on home court, but were unable to emulate the performance going down 46-57.
Springbank’s finals campaign got off to a rocky start after a narrow three-goal loss to its grand final opponent Learmonth in the qualifying final.
But the Tigers bounced back with an emphatic victory over Buninyong in the semi final and repeated the effort on the weekend.
Meanwhile, the Lakies locked in a grand final date after a tough preliminary final battle with Bungaree.
Learmonth coach Jordan O’Keefe expected a close game against a side known for its speed and agility.
His players managed to come out on top by three goals in front of a home crowd.
