The Devils thumped the reigning premier Bacchus Marsh by stunning 98 points in a dramatic second semi-final at Darley Park on Saturday.
This will be Darley's second grand final appearance in three seasons, having won its first BFL flag in 2015.
While Darley will get a week off, Bacchus Marsh will meet the winner of Sunday’s first semi-final between Lake Wendouree and Redan at the Eastern Oval.
Not only did Bacchus Marsh suffer a heavy defeat, its spearhead Jarrah Maksymow was red carded and reported in the second quarter.
The Cobras also suffered injuries, which will undoubtedly have an impact on the remainder of their finals campaign.
Kane White limped off in the early minutes of the opening quarter and key forward Trent Angwin suffered the recurrence of a hamstring strain 22 minutes into the first term.
Darley also had Nick Thacker suffer with suspected concussion in the first quarter.
That was the only negative for the Devils, who demoralised their cross-town arch-rivals.
Darley controlled the match from the outset, with coach Heath Scotland and key defender Kyle Docherty setting the tone early.
The further the match went the more dominant the Devils became - making Bacchus Marsh look second-rate in almost every facet of the game.
Luke Delahey's run out of defence another factor to give Darley the early dominance.
From there, the longer the day went the more influential more Devils became, and in the end it was all one-way traffic.
Western Jets youngster Zak Butters impressed as did lively small forward Leigh Spiteri, and talls Jackson Carrick, Rhys Ellis and Darren Leonard in a performance in which it was difficult to find any passengers.
Overall there was no one better than Scotland though, who as he has been all season was the general.
A goal from outside 50m early the last term put the icing on an almost faultless display by Scotland, who was will have some tough decisions to make at the selection table in grand final week.
There was little to like about Bacchus Marsh in unquestionably its worst performance in the two years coach Travis Hodgson has been at the club.
The Cobras did not kick their first goal until 18 minutes into the second quarter and by then the game was well and truly in Darley's keeping.
While the margin was just 24 points, it should have been much more with 14 scoring shots to four, Bacchus Marsh down three players and Darley generally doing as it liked.
And that was the way it stayed – with the Devils capping off a memorable day with seven goals in the last term while keeping Bacchus Marsh to one behind.
Dean Heta and Tyson Shea were among Bacchus Marsh’s better contributors on a day when Cobras were all too often second to ball and contest.
Each side made changes to selected sides.
Darley brought into assistant coach Dan Roy, skipper Shane Page, Zak Butters and Matt Young from the original list of emergencies - replacing Chris Graham, Dane Grenfell, Jay Pearson and Tom Evans.
Nick Stuhdreier replaced Western Jets teammate Blake Graham.
