Three of the requests are for community event grants, with the fourth for a tourism event grant.
The Ballarat Writer’s Festival has requested a $6700 grant to help deliver the new event from October 20-21 and organisers estimate 3000 patrons to attend.
Ballarat Carols has requested $5000 and $1500 in non-cash support for its 40th year of operation.
The annual Ballarat Wood Show has applied for a $2240 grant and is expected to draw an audience of up to 6500 people.
Planned for the Wendouree Sports and Events Centre, the event will run from September 23-24.
The final application was a one-year, $5000 grant for the Ballarat Gold Club to host the 2017 PGA Golf National Futures Championship.
Council’s report on the grant application said the six-day event was one of the richest trainee tournaments in Australia.
