The David LaChapelle exhibition closes on Sunday and Ballarat residents are being offered a two-for-one deal to see the hyper-realistic photos before they are shipped back to New York.
To maximise the opportunity for visitors, the exhibition at the Art Gallery of Ballarat will be open until 9pm on Friday.
It is the first time that LaChapelle’s work has been seen in Australia, with 90 of his works spanning 30 years hanging throughout the gallery as part of the only paid exhibition of the 2017 Ballarat International Foto Biennale, which also draws to a close at 5pm on Sunday.
The works feature some of the world’s biggest names including Michael Jackson, Madonna and other celebrities in settings that convey profound social messages.
“People will remember this exhibition for years to come because it will never come back. People will say ‘I saw David LaChapelle at the Art Gallery of Ballarat’,” said BIFB director Fiona Sweet.
