Regional communications MP Fiona Nash said the new technology would help spur local businesses. “NBN Co recently announced the speed available on fixed wireless will double in many areas next year, offering downloads of up to 100 Mbps and uploads of up to 40 Mbps in 2018,” she said.
Fixed wireless delivers fast broadband through 1700 fixed wireless towers around the nation. Victorian towns Deans Marsh, Arthurs Creek and Flowerdale North amoung others were also included in the August roll out.
