The announcement was made at the Sportsmen’s Association of Australia Ballarat branch dinner at the Ballarat Golf Club on Wednesday.
Coxall, who was still eligible to play in the under/18 competition, was among 14 nominees for the award.
His impressive first season of senior football included a match-winning performance in the final quarter of Buninyong’s first semi final against Daylesford.
Meanwhile, former Daylesford senior premiership player and current Geelong Cats player Josh Cowan, who has suffered a horror run of injury setbacks, was a special guest on the night.
