Malone points to pressure as pathway to grand final

PRESSURE, PRESSURE, PRESSURE: Lake Wendouree coach Tim Malone is calling on his players to put the squeeze on Bacchus Marsh in the cut-throat preliminary final.

PRESSURE, PRESSURE, PRESSURE: Lake Wendouree coach Tim Malone is calling on his players to put the squeeze on Bacchus Marsh in the cut-throat preliminary final.

Lake Wendouree coach Tim Malone says relentless pressure will be the linchpin to taking down reigning premier Bacchus Marsh in the Ballarat Football League preliminary final at the Eastern Oval on Saturday.

He said it been the platform to defeating Redan in the first semi-final.

Malone said if the midfield delivered as it needed to the offensive side of Lakers’ game would look after itself.

And he is a massive rap for the work of his defence.

Lake Wendouree, which has lost to the Cobras three times this season, is striving to reach its first grand final since its premiership year of 2010.

Malone said would need to improve on it stoppage work after being “killed” around the ball against Bacchus Marsh in the qualifying semi-final.
