Man hit by car after fight in Redan

Police are on the hunt for a group of men who tried to break into a Redan property this morning before hitting one of the occupants with a car.

Emergency services were called to the property on Bell Street in Redan just after 10.30am.

A group of men had tried to force their way into the property, causing a fight to break out between the men and the home occupants.

During the incident one of the home occupants was stuck by a car being driven by one of the men attempting to gain access to the property.  The vehicle then fled the scene.

Police blocked off a portion of Bell Street between Pleasant and Ardair Streets while two ambulances attend the scene.

An Ambulance Victoria media spokesperson said paramedics attended to a male in his 30s who was taken to the Ballarat Base Hospital in a stable condition with back and leg injuries.
