Plaster Fun House to close

Craft party store Plaster Fun House has announced it will close its doors at Mount Pleasant.

In a statement posted on Facebook, management said they had been unable to secure a new lease for their Humffray Street South block (left).

“This is not a decision taken lightly,” it read.

“We are a business that has been a proud part of the Ballarat community for more than 30 years.

“We hope to be able to honour all existing bookings/parties, but failing that we do have an alternative venue with another business that is prepared to help us out so nobody is left stranded.”

Plaster Fun House, which hosts parties for children, has endured a difficult few years after a big fire ripped through their previous premises on Grenville Street North in 2014.

It’s believed the Mount Pleasant shop will close by the end of October.

Interstate stores will not be affected.

Management was contacted for comment.
