It’s fair to say Golden Point’s Andrew Warrick was seeing them like beach balls on Saturday.

Warrick, who opens the bowling and came in at number nine, belted 88 runs off 66 deliveries in its Ballarat Cricket Association first grade clash with East Ballarat.
Warrick sent the ball racing to the boundary on six occasions and cleared it on another six to give the Hawks’ bowlers a headache.
The all-rounder came to the crease at 7-159 and a plan with 16-year-old Matt Harris to get the side to 200. But it quickly turned into a runs frenzy at White Flat as the pair put on 101 runs and saw out the 80 overs.
Harris was unbeaten on 22 while Warrick’s eye-catching display was his highest first grade score for the club.
Warrick said it was great to deliver a performance like that when the side needed it and praised his batting partner.
“It was good to hit a few out of the middle and get a good score on the board,” Warrick said.
“When it’s your day, it goes OK.
“We were certainly in a little bit of trouble...hopefully we can back it up next week and get the win.
“The East boys were up and about, Oli Hayes was bowling well, I think he had five to that point, the pressure was on.
“The main aim was to see out the 80 (overs) and get somewhere near 200.
“To be able to cope with that pressure and bat out the 80 overs was a good sign (for young Harris).”
Captain Josh White said it made for great viewing.
“He batted exceptionally well, him and Matt Harris,” White said.
“He is the opening bowler, but he is certainly very capable with the bat.”
Warrick will also have a big say on the outcome of the match this Saturday as he takes the new ball. He will lead the bowling attack as it looks to defend the 260-run total.
