The Darren Weir stable confirmed on Tuesday morning the seven-year-old stayer would not run in the spring Cups; however the extent of the injury remains unclear.
Admire Deus was on the second line of betting for Saturday's Caulfield Cup despite not having a lead-up run ahead of the Cup.
The final acceptances for the Caulfield Cup are taken at 10am today with the barrier draw to be conducted after 5pm.
Admire Deus was purchased from a leading stable in Japan and brought to Australia specifically with the Caulfield and Melbourne Cups in mind.
The former Japanese stayer was at $7.50 chance to win Saturday's $3.1 million Caulfield Cup.
It leaves champion jockey Craig Williams without a ride in Australia's second most important handicap.
