WHAT IS IT ALL FOR?
Run Ballarat donates 100 per cent of entry fees to the children’s ward redevelopment at Ballarat Health Services Base Hospital.
Ballarat runners, walkers and strollers have raised more than $920,000 since the inaugural event in 2012. Run Ballarat is committed to funding half of the $3.5 million paediatric and adolescent ward works.
THE COURSE
Start and finish lines for all events are from the South Gardens in Ballarat Botanical Gardens.
The six and 12-kilometre events go down Sturt Street and back up Mair Street with the 6km course turning at Ascot Street South and the 12km run travelling down around Bakery Hill and including a lap around the lake.
Children aged three to 14 have a fun 1km kids dash by the lake from the gardens.
