Ms Bardsley was the recipient of the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning Diversity and Inclusion Award at the event held October 13.
The Africana Ballarat event was Ms Bardlsey’s brainchild, highlighting the contribution of the African community to the club through art, sport, food and music.
Dr Tess Brady, the creator of Clunes Booktown, received the Life Activities Clubs Victoria and Henry Carus & Associates Senior Achievement Award.
Over nine years with the Creative Clunes organisation, Dr Brady has seen the annual book festival balloon to 20,000 guests.
More than 400 guests gathered from across the state to celebrate regional Victoria’s high achievers and community contributors, with winners receiving either $2,000 or air time packages on PRIME7.
