The sprinter earned three gold medals at the School Sport Victoria state secondary track and field championships at Lakeside Stadium, Albert Park, on Monday.
He claimed the 17-year boys’ 100m and 200m titles, and then ran the anchor leg in a win by the 18-20 year boys’ 4x100m relay.
Keast clocked 11.41 seconds to take out the 100m by .04 and had even less to spare in the 200m as he ran 22.96 for a winning margin of just .02.
His biggest effort though came in the last event of the meet when he came from a clear second at the last baton change to run down East Doncaster Secondary College and go away by 0.28 seconds.
He combined with Rodney Davis, Matthieu Brehaut and Carter Prendergast to stand on top of the podium.
For Keast, Davis and Brehaut, it was their third SSV state 4x100m relay championship win in four years.
They ran with Tanner Norman to salute in the 15-year division.
Then after finishing second in the 16-year event, Prendergast filled a vacancy left by Norman as Phoenix won the 17-year division last year ahead of Monday’s success.
MT ROWAN Secondary College student Georgia Joynson threw her way to a silver medal.
She finished second in the girls’ 12-13 years discus.
JAMES Pendred from Ballarat Specialist School collected two bronze medals. He was third in the boys’ 12-15 multi-class 100m and 200m.
