Former club juniors Aaron Christensen and Jiaya Mitchell are among new signings.
Sunbury has also picked up Liam Berry, who while without previous ties with the Lions hails from neighbouring entity Rupertswood.
Christensen and Berry have each trekked a football journey via the Calder Cannons in the TAC Cup under-18 competition.
The 190cm Christensen was touted as an AFL draft prospect in 2013, playing as a tall wing/forward.
He played with Coburg in the VFL in 2015 before making his way to Macedon, where was among the better players in a premiership side in the Riddell District league this year.
Sunbury coach Ben Jordan had an association with Berry when he was at the helm at Rupertswood.
Jordan said Berry, who was coming off hip surgery which kept him out of the game this year, would be well suited to the open, run-and-carry style of the BFL.
He said his versatility also enabled him to play as an inside midfielder.
Jordan said Christensen would also give options, with his outside running a major asset.
Jordan said their run and leg speed would be valuable assets for the Lions.
Mitchell is back with Sunbury after two seasons at Rupertswood, where he took out the RDFL under-18.5 best and fairest last year, and made his senior debut in the season just gone.
The arrival of Christensen, Mitchell and Berry is the next phase in filling the void left by the departures of David Kovacevic, Adam Short, Tom Donoghue and Ben Said to St Albans in the Western Region league.
They follow the re-signings of VFL-experienced Lachie Bramble and Jayden Eales.
While, Bramble is staying on the Williamstown list, Eales is stepping away from the Seagulls and fully committing to Sunbury.
The loss of Kovacevic will open up the opportunity for Eales to lead the ruck division.
Sunbury has also re-signed the bulk of the senior side which played finals last season, which included several teenagers emerging from under-18.5 ranks.
MELTON assistant coach Michael Licciardo is on the move.
He is moving to East Keilor in the Essendon District Football League, where he will also be involved in coaching.
Licciardo spent to two years with the Bloods, but a mid-season knee “clean-up” restricted him to eight games.
He joined Melton from Mt Pleasant after stints at St Bernard’s, Hoppers Crossing and Parkside.
