Salthbush Kitchen’s Brigid Corcoran’s online bush food business has taken off, leading her to end her three-year stint at MADE.
Ms Corcoran said she would not have got her start in the industry without the museum’s support.
“MADE took a punt on a young entrepreneur and gave me a go, so the fruits of that three years later is I am taking it national,” she said.
The cafe closed its doors for the final time on Thursday afternoon, however MADE has already moved to ensure it will be immediately replaced.
It will be closed on Friday for renovations, before reopening as MADE Cafe on Saturday.
Chef Alan Ryan will lead the new kitchen and said he was thrilled to be able to produce a new menu.
“It’s affordable fresh food, but also draws on influences from Eureka with dishes like damper and lamb stew,” he said.
