With Ballarat drawn to play Goulburn Valley in an AFL curtain-raiser at the MCG on May 19, AFL Goldfields regional operations manager Aaron Nunn said the BFNL was keen to also play the support fixtures in Melbourne on the same day.
Punt Road Oval and the State Netball and Hockey Centre are possible venues.
The BFNL and GVFL senior football match is planned as curtain-raiser to an Essendon and Geelong clash as part of the AFL Country Festival
