Linke spent 2017 playing with Quambatook in the Golden Rivers competition, but will return to play under Bungaree coach Heath Pyke.
The nimble defender, who is a former North Ballarat Roosters-listed player, joined the Demons in 2014 before going on to win the premiership in that season.
Linke, originally from Penshurst, played more than 20 VFL senior games with the Roosters.
Meanwhile, Waubra has lured Jarred Crabtree from Skipton to bolster its forward stocks.
Crabtree booted six goals from 12 games with the Emus last campaign.
New Roos coach Matt James also reported the signing of Cameron Smith, who joins from Edenhope-Apsley in the Horsham District league.
James said key backman Nick Aringo had left Waubra for Queenscliff, which competes in the Bellarine league.
