Miles played with the Panthers in 2014, while Sharp was a junior at South.
They have been picked up with young Lancefield midfielder James Wooster in the Panthers’ first recruiting phase, which has also featured the signing of former Brisbane Lions player Mitch Golby and Dale Hoghton from Port Melbourne in the VFL.
Melton South recruiting coordinator Sean Triplett reinforced the club’s focus on attracting midfielders.
Miles was the Panthers’ best and fairest in 2014, when he also represented the BFL.
He moved to Avondale Heights in the Essendon District league in 2015 and then to his original club Hoppers Crossing in the Western Region league.
The experienced Miles, who has also played with Altona, has represented the WRFL over the past two years. This included playing against Ballarat in 2016.
Triplett said Miles’ vast experience would be imperative in Melton South getting the lift it needed through the midfield..
Sharp is well travelled in football terms, having been with Doutta Stars (EDFL), Sunbury in 2011 and then Melton since his under-age days with Melton South and Western Jets in the TAC Cup.
Wooster follows new joint coach Ash Manning and key forward Jonathon Kent to Melton South.
Manning resigned from Lancefield early last season and joined the Panthers’ senior coaching panel, while Kent made the switch before clearances closed at the end of June.
Wooster made his senior debut with Lancefield, where he has played all his football, last year and has taken his total games to 28.
In the meantime, Munir El Houli is seeking a clearance back to Newport in the WRFL.
He joined Melton South this year with his brother Adam, who is also set to leave, but managed just five games before being sidelined with injury.
MELTON’S Brock McGregor is also on the move.
He has applied for a clearance to Keilor in the WRFL.
McGregor had a handful of games for the Bloods and Williamstown in the AFL Development League this year while on the Western Jets’ list in the TAC Cup.
