Icehouse will hit the foreshore stage after a sold out Melbourne gig at the Palais Theatre tonight. The band is celebrating the 30th anniversary of their classic album Man of Colours.
Diesel, also known as Mark Lizotte, said he’s looking forward to bringing his diverse catalogue lakeside.
“With an outdoor set, I try to give as much variation as possible. I never stay on one kind of thing, I’m lucky that I have lots of different records,” he said.
“It’s invigorating playing outdoors and quite athletic.
“I end up sucking in lots of oxygen, which is probably good because I’ve sucked in my share of smoke over the years.”
