Whittaker has been involved in Rebels youth girls’ academy programs since 2013 and led GWV in the inaugural year of the TAC Cup Girls this year.
Rebels TAC Cup Girls coordinator Krista Woodroffe said Whittaker’s experience and passion for women’s football was second to none in our region.
“We’re confident Jeff can continue to develop talented female footballers in the Western region to elite levels, especially with the expansion of the AFLW competition in 2019 and beyond.”
Every player on GWV’s list this year played at least one game in a five-round season which featured teams from each of the 12 TAC Cup programs.
The girls’ program is having an AFL talent search session, open to athletes from non-footballing background (born 1999-2003) at Ballarat Grammar School next Wednesday. Pre-season training starts on Wednesday, November 29.
