HI-5 mania swept across Ballarat yesterday when the famous five came to town. The 850-seat Wendouree Centre for Performing Arts was packed to the rafters when Kellie Hoggart, Nathan Foley, Sun Park, Stevie Nicholson, and Casey Burgess took to the stage for two shows."This is the best part of the job, interacting with the kids," Ms Park said.Yesterday was day two of Hi-5's regional Party Street tour."We don't get much of a chance to come to regional towns like Ballarat, so it's really good to be here," Mr Foley said.Mr Foley and Ms Hoggart are the last two remaining members of the original Hi-5 line up.The newest Hi-5 additions are Mr Nicholson, who replaced Tim Harding, and Ms Burgess, who took over from Charli Delaney."I'm having so much fun," Ms Burgess said.Meanwhile, the two sold-out concerts caused headaches for Howitt St traders, who were angered by the concert-goers' use of the shopping strip's parks. However, City of Ballarat director of infrastructure Jeff Haydon said a number of options were being looked at by council to help address the problem."Council is going to install additional signage at the two main entry points to Howitt St Shopping Centre, indicating parking is for the convenience of shoppers," Mr Haydon said."Council has also forwarded a letter to Ballarat Grammar asking them to investigate a number of options for parking, including traffic marshalls on the day of big events and a variable message board."
