Children suffering serious illnesses got to soar above the challenges they face every day as they took to the skies over Ballarat in helicopters as part of the annual Cops ‘n’ Kids Camp.

The 61 children, aged four to eight, enjoyed helicopter flights and and fun activities at the airport on the first stop of their four-day camp to Ballarat.
The group, including a volunteer carer for each child, stay at Sovereign Hill and enjoy activities including a ferry ride, playground visits, helicopter and plane flights, jumping castle, disco, swimming, bowling, movies , Blood on the Southern Cross and more.
Organiser and retired policeman John Moloney said the camp gave families with seriously ill children some respite, and provided a jam-packed four days of fun for the young campers.
