A Ballarat man has pleaded guilty to 13 child sex abuse and child pornography charges accumulated over a 20 year period.

The charges include four counts of indecent acts with a child under the age of 16, five counts of sexual penetration of a child under the age of 16 and four counts of producing and possessing child pornography.
Jesse Taylor Thomas, who is currently in custody, was arraigned in the County Court sitting in Ballarat yesterday where he pleaded guilty to the charges.
Thomas remained composed as the particulars of each charge was read to the court.
He pleaded guilty to indecently assaulting the same child at least four times in Fawkner between June and December 1997.
Thomas admitted to engaging indecent acts with the male under the age of 16 including engaging in sexual penetration and other sexually abusive acts.
He also pleaded guilty to assaulting the same child in June of 1998 and again in June of 1999 in the Melbourne suburb of Airport West.
Thomas also admitted to producing child pornography and indecently assaulting the same child and another male child in Wendouree between June and December 1999.
He made further admissions to the court of possessing an unknown quantity of child pornography in Wendouree between January 7 and June 9, 2016.
It is expected Thomas will face the County Court under judge Howard Mason again in the coming months.
