Wendouree had club doyen John Penhall play alongside not only his daughter Lauren, but also his son-in-law Rian Potter in the Ballarat Cricket Association one-day B grade competition on Saturday
Red Caps president Max Drew said all three had played with the club for sometime – Lauren starting in juniors.
“It was a special moment to have the three in the one game.”
Drew posed the question as whether this might be a first – at least in the BCA.
Rian top scored for Wendouree with 67 runs – his highest score with the club – in a team total of 9-245.
Lauren made eight, with her innings including a partnership with husband Rian, and John reached 17 in a match which finished in a draw after being abandoned late in the Burrumbeet innings when a thunderstorm descended on Mt Pleasant.
Rian also picked up a wicket to round a memorable day for the family.
