The tattoo parlour on Little Bridge Street was set to host a flash tattoo day on Sunday, November 19, to raise money for a local charity that gives a helping hand to families staying at the Royal Children’s Hospital.
However, when tattoo artist Randi Cannik arrived at the parlour early on Sunday morning she found the shop was completely flooded.
“There was a lot of swear words said and we were shattered we couldn't do the fundraiser,” Ms Cannik said.
“People were showing up at 9.30 trying to get in early and we had to turn them away.”
“But what was really cool was I put a post on Facebook about the flooding and people showed up with mops and brooms to help clean up.”
After most of the water was cleaned from the shop, it was discovered two of the work stations had been damaged and the parlour could not safely run the flash tattoo fundraiser.

Ms Cannik said she is still keen to host a fundraising day for the Caps for Bax charity and hopes once repairs to the shop have been carried out they can go ahead with the event.
“The floor will probably have to be replace and some of the ceiling tiles,” she said.
“The fundraiser will be after Christmas, hopefully in January, but we don’t know when we will have to shut for the repairs so everything up in the air at the moment.”
The crew at Left Hand Lucky were still able to rise about $500 in raffle ticket sales on Sunday will be giving away tattoo vouchers as part of the fundraising effort for Caps for Bax.
