NOT many people can lay claim to the fact they've received a present from the Prime Minister of Australia. But at just nine weeks of age, Ryan Karlovic - the son of Ballarat MHR Catherine King - can.In the weeks after his birth, Kevin Rudd and his wife Therese Rein sent Ryan a new outfit plus a caterpillar rattle. The rattle has already been nicknamed "the Kevin 07 worm" by Ms King and her husband, Mark Karlovic.Ryan David Gladstone Karlovic came into the world on June 21 weighing an impressive 11 pounds.Ms King yesterday said the first four weeks of motherhood had passed by in a blur."Nothing can prepare you for how constant it is," Ms King said."But he's a great baby and very healthy so I can't complain." Ms King admitted she hadn't "100 per cent turned off from work" since Ryan's birth, working from her home office in between dirty nappies and feeding times. However she will mark her return to full-time work on September 15 with a parliamentary sitting in Canberra. She will be joined in the nation's capital by Ryan and her "fantastic" sister-in-law, who will act as a babysitter while Ms King is in parliament."My first week back in Canberra is certainly going to be a juggle," Ms King said."But there's a lot of flexibility with what I do so I'm very lucky."
