And the winners have come quickly.
Freedman has recently moved from his former stable in Crossley to a new $1million complex bordering the Dowling Forest precinct.
“It’s a really good facility with good access to all the training facilities up here as well as having a treadmill and a walker within our own facilities,” Freedman said.
Freedman’s stable also has 35 horse boxes, six day yards and a sand roll.
Since moving in about a month ago, Freedman has prepared The Queen’s Walk and Pearl de Vere for wins at Moonee Valley and Danigree for victory at Dunkeld last weekend.
“We have started really well. We’ve only had a handful of runners and managed to get three winners,” Freedman said.
Freedman, who was foreman at Darren Weir’s Warrnambool base before embarking on his own training operation, will have an open day at his new stables on Saturday morning.
