The rooms was put in place for the Bonshaw Early Learning Centre, which the state government funded to the tune of $1.6 million.
The project was due to be finished in January next year.
It will include two kindergarten rooms with 66 places and two maternal child health consulting rooms.
A community meeting room has also been included as part of the project.
Ballarat City Council will own the building while Sebastopol West Kindergarten will relocate there.
Buninyong MP Geoff Howard said families would be excited about the centre.
“It will replace the old Sebastopol West Kindergarten, providing a brand new, integrated early years facility,” he said.
“I know that local families will be very excited about this new kindergarten with its modern spaces and play areas, which will open here in 2018.”
