Searl coached the Tigers in 2016 and 2017, but stepped down from the role following the senior team’s preliminary final defeat by Beaufort in September.
Season 2018 will be Searl’s fourth with the Central Highlands Football League club.
After a long and decorated career in the VFL with the North Ballarat Roosters, he joined the Tigers for the 2015 campaign. After playing in the club’s senior premiership that year, he took over as senior coach in a joint capacity with Nick Couch. The pair then led the Tigers to a second flag before Searl continued the job in his own right last season.
Springbank recently appointed Troy Beamond as new senior coach of the club.
A non-playing leader, Beamond took Wyndhamvale to its first Western Region league flag in 2015.
