More than 1,000 locals armed with picnic blankets and plenty of Christmas cheer attended, with all funds raised going to the 3BA Christmas Appeal.
Headline act Geoffrey Williams and twelve-year-old Grace Davison were joined onstage by a 60-person strong Sing Australia Choir.
Younger audience members enjoyed a reading of Twas the night before Christmas by Simon Carroll.
Community Carols MC Scott Bedggood said it had been a big day in Buninyong, with the fantastic weather ensuring a good turn out.
“We tried to be very local with the performer selection this year,” he said.
“The carols really attract everyone in the district.”
Sing Australia choir member Wendy Gill from Alfredton said the tight-knit community of Buninyong made the event special.
“It brings everyone together. You’ve only got to look at the children’s faces to see how exciting it is,” she said.
