A woman, 35, has been allegedly stabbed in the neck with a knife outside a Barkly Street property at Mount Pleasant on Tuesday afternoon.

She had serious, non-life threatening injuries and was in a stable condition after she was taken to hospital about 3.20pm.
Ballarat police arrested a man at the scene in relation to the incident.
Sergeant Brett Robinson said the parties involved were known to each other.
“A man is in custody and police are investigating the incident,” he said.
There were numerous police at the scene, which saw the property cordoned off with tape as they investigated about 4pm.
